You must Register for the Work Bond Before Divisional Registration

Spring Raffle included in registration fee....... See below for details

10/12 Majors Division

Our most competitive division for players 10-12, featuring a 50' pitching distance, 70' basepaths and full baseball rules including stealing, leading, and balks.  MBSA is very excited about offerring this new format which includes a tournament trail from District competion through the World Series in Branson, MO at Ballparks of America featuring 8 International Champions.

The move to 5070 has been a long time coming and is sure to make this division as exciting as possible.

Note:  This division is by selection only. Players must attend a tryout in order to be considered for selection.  If not selected for this program, players will be placed in the appropriate division for their age.

Games - There will be one (1) to three (3) games per week scheduled.  Please be mindful that weather conditions may cause a game to be rescheduled to another week or weekend day and that field availability determines our abilities to schedule and reschedule games.  A weekday night game is also a possibility under the lights!

Practices - there will be one (1) per week and this practice will be scheduled between Monday through Friday based on field availability.

Equipment - Participants in this division will need the following equipment:  batting helmet, bat, glove, protective sports cup, cleats (rubber only) and it is strongly suggested that all players wear a heart guard.  During the Spring season, the MBSA provides all participants with a team hat, jersey, pants and socks.

Coaching/Managing - Are you interested in managing or coaching a team?  The Manalapan Township Parks and Recreation Department requires all volunteers to possess a Manalapan Township Volunteer ID Card.  To obtain a card or to renew your card, kindly go to the Parks and Recreation website for complete details.  Please note that the MBSA does not have control over this application process.  Additional details can be found here:

The Manalapan Recreation Department imposes a fee for the use of their fields in the amount of $2.50 per child registered and this is included in your registration fee.  In addition, the Manalapan Township Board of Education imposes a $500 fee per field, per season, on organizations utilizing their ball fields.  This has resulted in an increase in our registration fees.

Participation in the fundraising raffle is voluntary.  Families have the option of selling their tickets if they prefer to opt out of the drawing.  Raffle tickets will be distributed near the opening of Spring Season with the drawing date closer to the end of the season. The purchaser will need to return their completed stubs to the team manager to be in the drawing.

MBSA supports the notion that all children should have the opportunity to play baseball.

Spring 2024 - Work Bond

Work Bond

Please insure that the same account is used to register for the work bond and the division.

The MBA enforces a Volunteer Work Bond policy. Work Bonds are collected once per calendar year with the spring registration fees and are refunded within 45 days of the volunteer's obligation being met. There are myriad opportunities available to satisfy the work bond requirements.  Members can find a list of the opportunities and sign up for them by visiting the Volunteer Opportunities page,  We also post opportunities on our social media pages which include Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.  Volunteer opportunities exist throughout the year up until October 1st after which your work bond will be forfeited. It is the volunteers responsibility to confirm completion of your work bond obligation to the volunteer coordinator by completing the Work Bond Reimbursement Form.

You now have the ability to donate your work bond to the MBSA.  Simply check off the appropriate box to donate your work bond during the registration process.  The MBA is a 501C3 non profit organization.  Please consult with your tax advisor to determine if your donation is tax deductible. Thank you to all our families that donated last year's work bond.
